Gazetteer
Gazetteer is an interactive geolocation web application. It utilizes Leaflet.js library for creating and displaying the map layer. On first load the user location is determined and various REST APIs are used to gather information about the current country ( capital, currency, population, weather, news etc. ). The collected data is then displayed either as map overlays or in modals which can be triggered using the buttons on the bottom. The select element on the top can be used to select a different country and the process is repeated. The application is responsive and works well across all devices.
Company directory
A web application presenting an interface to a company personnel database. The data is displayed in separate tables showing information about employees, departments and locations respectively. It provides full CRUD functionality(create, read, update and delete resources). The database can be easily searched by employee name and filtered by either department or location. Database integrity is ensured by not allowing deletion of entries with dependencies (e.g. you cannot delete a department with employees in it). The application has a responsive design and works equally well on desktop and mobile.
